Many of our handmade soaps are named after Michigan towns and locations as a tribute to our beautiful state. I have worked long and studied a lot to perfect my soaps. Several local stores in my area sell them . Since I live in a small rural area where about everyone knows everyone it often happens that customers who buy and use my soaps give me personal feedback, all of which is positive. Soap is available in fragranced with fragrance oils, all natural soaps in which I use essential oils and unscented and uncolored Emu and Ostrich Oil soap for sensitive skin. Soaps weigh 5oz/144gr when packaged, but a bar can lose a tiny bit of moisture over time (a good thing for bar hardness), which will reduce the weight by about 1/4 ounce. unscented and uncolored Emu and Ostrich Oil soap for sensitive skin. Soaps weigh 5oz/144gr when packaged, but a bar can lose a tiny bit of moisture over time (a good thing for bar hardness), which will reduce the weight by about 1/4 ounce. A brief look into the ingredients we use.. • Palm Oil* adds conditioning and wonderful creamy lather. The Palm oil I use is obtained through a sustainable palm supplier. • A large percentage of Shea Butter* is used in the soap because it has a high fatty acid content to help retain skin elasticity, is high in vitamin E, and helps form a protective barrier against environmental damage. • Castor Oil* is humectant (helps skin hold moisture), forms a protective barrier on skin to help prevent environmental damage, also has vitamin E and creates a creamy lather. * The ingredients noted are extremely helpful for relieving and preventing dry, itchy skin. • Coconut Oil and Palm Kernal Oil are used because they increase the hardness of the soap which makes it last longer and increase lather. • The fragrance oils used in my soaps are high quality oils with lots of 'Sniffie Power'and are not 'cut' with any additive that dilutes them. • Buttermilk. What a difference this makes in the lather and feel of the soap. Creamier lather and a silky feel. All the ingredients used in my products are chosen for their purity, quality and skin enhancing properties in the effort to maintain what I consider to be products that benefit my skin and yours. I do not use ingredients that are considered to be harmful to health. I make the soap from scratch, by hand, using the above oils. Natural glycerine is formed in the process. Glycerine is important in soap to aid in retaining moisture on skin. Most commercial soaps have the glycerine removed so it may be used in other high end cosmetic products. You can order a soap sampler if you want to try several scents to find your favorite. Give your soap longer life!
